USA Phone Number!!!

Hello all!

So my wonderful mother pointed out to me that I haven't posted my USA number on my blog yet. For those of you who don't know, I now have a USA phone number through Skype. Skype is this FABULOUS program through my computer that allows me to have a USA phone number here in Korea. It even has voice mail, so you can leave me a message too. SO, you can call at any time of the day or night. Even if it is night time here and I am asleep, you can still call and leave me a message. It is so WONDERFUL to wake-up to messages from home!!!

OK, I know, enough suspense... my USA number is...

drum roll please...

856.393.0427

Please call me!!! I miss and love you all SO much!!!!

My mini-vacation and DAY in Ueno, Japan...

Hello all!!! I know, it has been a WHILE since I have written, and I apologize!!! So as most of you know, I was home for a little less than a week for a mini-vacation. I had such an amazing time, it was very hard to go back to Korea. While I was home I saw friends and family, had a big BBQ in my backyard, did TONS of shopping, spent extra time with my mom and brother (just a side note, he drove home and back from school just to see me which was for less than 24 hours, I HAVE THE BEST BROTHER IN THE WORLD!!!!), and visited NYC!!!! All jammed into too short of a time.

SO... Onto, Japan...

So here is a traditional room that you rent in a hotel in Japan. As you can see, there is no matress, you sleep on the floor on a thick blanket. It actually isn't that bad.
I have yet to post a picture of the toilets here in Asia, but this is what a traditional one looks like. They do have toilets like we have in the states, but not everywhere. Ya just skwat... EEwww!!!
This is one of my favorite parts of Asia. They have street markets that sell every kind of food you can imagine, but these stands are my favorite. What you see is slices of cantelope and pineapple on a stick on ice for what is equal to 10 cents in the states... LOVE IT!!!!
Here is a shot of the busy roads in Japan...
This is a shot of the market street... ya think it's busy? This pic reminds me slightly of NYC. Anyway, this is what most market streets look like, VERY busy!!!!
After shopping a little, I went for a walk in Ueno Park. It is HUGE and BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! This is one of the smaller streets in the park. I wish I could have seen it when the leaves were changing!!! I bet it would have been gorgeous!!!
This is one of the many street performers in the park. She was HYSTERICAL!!!! She did everything from comedy to balloon making to singing. My favorite was when she sang "The Phantom of the Opera" duet. REALLY bad but REALLY entertaining!!!!!! Just FYI, she was doing it to be funny, so I was laughing with her not at her.
I ended the day at a traditional Japanese resturant with a traditional Japanese meal... Soba. Soba is a buckwheat noodle that is served MANY different ways. This was the noodle cold (over ice) with vegees, wasabi and dipping sauce... aka soy sauce. Mmmm!!!! Delicious!!!!
As I am in the airport in Japan, waiting to return to Korea, God greets me with an AMAZING sunset! I miss and love you all!!!!!
